After helping my wonderful wife raise 5 terrific children, try desperately to be an awesome grandfather to our 6 grandchildren and travel the world speaking and teaching a good portion of the past 15 years, I’ve learned a valuable lesson about sharing and then hoping someone was listening and learning.
“Don’t be a fire hose….be a sprinkler!”
People learn, understand and remember better line upon line, precept upon precept…drip…drip…drip.
The funny thing though is when you ask people what they want; they’ll tell you to fire hose them every time.
But when you oblige….little will be absorbed.
Herbert Spencer once said;
“The great aim of education is not knowledge but ACTION!”
Be a sprinkler rather than a fire hose and you’ll improve the chances someone will actually sprout.
Statistics are in my favor too, so I guarantee it!
